What is WISE?

WISE is a group of enthusiastic professional women who encourage and support other women to pursue an education or career in Science and Engineering.

  Dear WISE Ottawa Members,

We are so pleased to announce that the event titled Perspectives: Highlighting Women Leaders in STEM   will take pace at the University of Ottawa in LMX339 on November 29th from 2-4pm.  There will be a diverse group of women leaders to have a panel discussion about their careers and what attracted them to their respective fields. 

The panelists are:

- Maria L Arnal, Dean of Research from the Universidad Simon Bolivar, one of the top Latin American Universities

- Kelly Bronson, Assistant Professor at the University Ottawa, social scientist researching political and economic decision-making on controversial technologies

- Maria DeRosa, Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Institute of Biochemistry at Carleton University. 

- Francine Ford, Executive Director at Canadian Association of Physicists.
